My friend’s band, Rhodes, released their first album, Half a Mind to Stay, a few months ago. It’s now on iTunes (search for Half a Mind to Stay) and if you like modern rock with a classic feel, a mix of blues, brit-rock, and southern rock, you should buy the album. There’s only 10 tracks, but when I say only I mean there’s only ten great tracks. It’s all killer and no filler, like far too many albums these days. They’re just getting started, and one day they will take over the world, metaphorically speaking. Then again, if they actually do take over the world, I’ll be ok, since I know at least one of the guys in the band.

They have a website. They have a recent, great online interview. They have a MySpace. They have a GarageBand site. And you can buy an actual, real, honest-to-goodness CD from their  site. Samples abound there, on iTunes, and at their own site.

Just go buy the songs and thank me later.

You could also do a little market research and see that their music is much better than what’s currently out there. Get ‘em on the radio, and soon!
