In Honolulu, while searching for a church, we visted a theatre church. We only went twice and ended up going to a church with a large lanai (open-air patio) that encouraged people to hang around and visit. At the theatre church we had to leave quickly because they were anxious to start the Sunday matinee. Actually walked through lines of movie goers to exit. It contributed to the 'attendee as audience, not participant' aspect which I think is an unhealthy development in church culture.
