I recently helped my grandmother buy a computer from Dell and one of the options was online backup via Dell (at an extra cost, of course). There are many, many companies that offer backup services. iBackup.com is an online storage site and may have something that sets it apart from the pack. Their software creates a mapped drive or folder on your computer for easy drag-and-drop saving and backing up of your important files. Subscription plans vary based on the amount of storage needed, from 5 GB at $9.95/month or $99.50/year to 300 GB at $299.95/month or $2999.95/year. These prices are comparable to other services, and, when it comes to your important documents, pictures, and videos, it’s a price you’ll be glad to have paid.

Although I haven’t followed the race all that closely, I just saw Barack Obama on The Daily Show and wanted to know about his stance on certain issues, as well as whatever I could find for the other candidates. Of course, with the web the way it is, someone’s made a nice chart:

I also wanted to find a place that might list their religious beliefs and/or affiliations. Any suggestions?

In today’s news of the strangely true, a woman claims to have found God in an eggplant. Although she did not have a religious experience upon eating said eggplant (which you would if you’d ever care to visit Paisano’s in Georgetown), she found the actual word “GOD” spelled out in the seeds of the eggplant.

To the untrained eye, it might look like “GID”, but you, my friend, would be called a fiend for missing this sign of the time.

Frog in Bogeys Water

Due to the nearly biblical amount of rain we experienced last month, our backyard, aside from being as verdant as ever, also started to suffer a plague of frogs. Tiny ones were everyone, and some big bubbas would hop around from time to time. I started to wonder how often Bogey (see previous post) had feasted on a frog leg dinner. Apparently, he just likes Frog Stew.

I keep throwing the water out, letting the frog hop away, and he just keeps returning.

Sort of a funny photo. There’s a lot of work that goes into just getting our dogs into the car so we can take them for a walk. The funniest thing (in my opinion) is that Bogey leans his head over the back seat and slobbers all over the upholstery. We wised up to his ways and began placing a towel over the seat before he gets there. And he refuses to jump into the car, so I have to grab all 100+ pounds of him and shove him in. It’s a great workout for your back.
