A Writer's Prayer

Our Father which art in Heaven,
hallowed be your byline above mine.
Your kingdom come, your will be done,
despite no advances and paltry royalties.
Give us this day our daily word count and forgive us our tpyos, as we forgive those who misread us.
Lead us not into Facebook or Twitter, and deliver us from the evils of Pinterest. (1)
My prayer is not for my words, but for those whom you will have read my words. All these words I have are yours, and whatever glory I receive because of them comes only by your grace.
Holy God, protect my readers from bad prose, worse fiction, and eyesore cover art, both mine and others. (2)
May the words of my keyboard and the meditation of my screen be pleasing to you O Lord. (3)
O God, be merciful to me, for I am a writer. (4)
