From time to time, I’ll be posting a Breaking Bad link roundup, a small way to keep in touch with what’s going on in the world of Breaking Bad. Here are a few new stories from the world of Breaking Bad:

1. Breaking Bad and Bryan Cranston Win Big at the Golden Globes

Though nominated three other times, Cranston finally won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Drama. He called the win “such a lovely way to say goodbye to the show.” Breaking Bad also won Best TV Series Drama.

2. Better Call Saul Gets a Release Date

Well, it’s not a precise date, but everyone’s favorite lawyer will debut on AMC in November 2014. Whether it’s prequel or sequel (or both) remains to be seen, but rumor has is that Walter, Jesse, and some other favorites from Breaking Bad may make periodic appearances.
Personally, I’m a bit skeptical about this spinoff, but after reading that the show will “stretch the boundaries of what it means to be a drama,”[ref]Joel Stillerman, AMC’s Vice President[/ref] I’m much more intrigued.

3. Jesse Plemons, a.k.a. Odd Todd Alquist, May Be the Lead Actor in the Next Star Wars Movie

It’s mostly a rumor at this point, but it’s been reported that Plemons is scheduled to meet with J.J. Abrams soon. Many people have cited Jesse’s resemblance to Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) as a reason why he might be cast to possibly play Skywalker’s son. Then again, maybe Abrams wants an “Opie dead-eye” to send chills down spines as Odd Todd sips coffee from a lipstick-stained mug.

5. Become Walter White

Not Quite Walter White
Me as Walter White, a.k.a Blaking Bad Atwood

Seriously. If you allow this website to access your webcam, you can BECOME WALTER WHITE (plus a few other notable names). It’s not exactly a close resemblance, but if you want to freak yourself or a significant other out, take a screengrab of you wearing someone else’s face. Nic Cage (whom you can also choose!) would be proud.
